In her first solo UK exhibition, acclaimed Finnish photographer Sandra Kantanen presents imagery strongly influenced by traditional Chinese landscape painting. Digitally modifying her photographs from China, Japan, Finland and Tibet creates distortion, blurring or streaking: investigating and expanding the boundaries of the medium.
A former pupil of the celebrated School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University Helsinki, a major monograph on her work was published by Hatje Cantz in June 2011.
